Registered FSUIPC supports VRI hardware natively

Postby Andydigital » Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:12 pm

Hi Folks,

Peter Dowson developer of FSUIPC for FSX and FS9 would like to announce that the registered version of FSUIPC now natively support almost all the VRInsight hardware (ProPit and JetPit are untested at this time). This means that you no longer have to assign key stokes in SerialFP2 and then program FSUIPC to receive these key strokes to action the functions within the simulator.

This is really good news for users who build their own profiles for VRInsight hardware as now it is simply a matter of assigning the buttons and dials on the VRInsight hardware directly to functions within FSUIPC itself, such as through Peters brilliant mouse macro facility or via offsets and L:Vars for example.

Please download FSUIPC version 4.6 for FSX and version 3.98 for FS9 if you want to take advantage of these new facilities, do remember though that these facilities are only available in the registered (paid for) versions of FSUIPC. You can download FSUIPC from the below website, the same site also has links to places where you can purchase FSUIPC.

Users of 64 bit operating systems should also be aware that you may have to purchase further software (virtual serial port emulator) as well as the registered version of FSUIPC to use this new functionality in FSUIPC.

Instructions for setting up FSUIPC with VRInsight hardware is available in the document 'FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users.pdf' which is included with FSUIPC after you install it. Tech Support for these new facilities in FSUIPC can be found at Peters support forum here

Peter has worked very hard on adding VRInsight hardware support to FSUIPC so I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to him on behalf of all VRInsight customers and also on behalf of flight simulator enthusiasts the world over for all of the many thousands of hours he must have put into developing all of his amazing utilities for flight simulator over the years, thank you very much Pete!!
Cheers,
Andy.
